OUR STORY
In 2010 a small group of Berkeley County WV artists got together to foster a shared community and support among local artists. They also wanted to involve the public by creating an opportunity to interact with the artists and artisans in their working environment. The Trails and Trees Studio Tour was formed, and the first studio tour was held in the Fall of 2011. The studio tour has continued every year, except for 2020 due to the pandemic. Who doesn't enjoy getting a behind-the-scenes peek at that "mysterious" realm of the artist's studio?

The Trails and Trees Studio Tour takes place throughout scenic and historic Berkeley County WV. The Tour is self guided and totally free. Plot your own course and travel at your own pace from studio to studio throughout historic Martinsburg, West Virginia and Berkeley County's scenic countryside. Watch demonstrations, talk with the artists, and explore the spaces that inspire them. Enjoy refreshments at each studio and relax. Visit all the artists or just a few.
The artists and artisans change from year to year, and you can follow links to this year’s participating artists or to download a printable brochure and map. This year we have 16 juried artists in 10 studios with beautiful art ~ glass blowing, quilting, woodworking, wood turning, stained glass, pottery, original jewelry, baskets, paintings, fiber art, clock making ~ all handmade in West Virginia!

We hope you join us for the 10th annual Tour! Visit with the Artists. Take your time. Make it a one or two day adventure! Enjoy!
